Impact and Benefits Agreements

Impacts and Benefits Agreements, (IBAs), are formal, written agreements that help to manage the predicted impacts associated with an industrial development occurring on traditional lands and to secure economic benefits for neighboring Indigenous communities affected by that development.

Our members benefit from an array of online services that allow them to fulfill their contractual obligations that rise from an IBA. Most often an IBA will deal with a percentage of “labor content” that will be provided by Indigenous people.

Our members, (needing to fulfill their commitments), benefit from their ability to post jobs and specifically promote those jobs to a specific community, manage those postings online in addition to accessing our labor pool and resume service!

In sourcing goods and services that can be outsourced to local contractors our members can utilize our procurement functions to target and identify businesses who can add value.

These and more opportunities are not always on the front page, exist in the provincial and federal procurement systems! But we know where they are!
