Overview of responsibilities :
Students become part of a team that ensures all key indicators of sales and customer service are met and/or exceeded. Under the mentorship of the national Sales manager students will ensure all members and potential members receive excellent service and accurate information, leading to an improved experience as a member of the Its Time For Change economic indigenous inclusion and engagement network.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Responsible for selling membership and advertising by providing knowledgeable information to potential members resulting in membership registrations; assists members to understand membership options, payment plans and types.
• Assists in maintaining high member retention by addressing member concerns and needs as appropriate.
• Identifies fee-based programs and activities of potential interest to members leading to additional sales revenue.
• Provides service excellence at the Membership Services Desk. Performs duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager as required by work volumes and scheduling needs.
• Ensures that personal and team sales targets are met and/or exceeded
• Makes decisions and solves problems regarding membership sales and service functions, membership accounts, members concerns and members’ behaviour. Assists members in resolving past due accounts, identifying options and referring potential qualified members for membership assistance.
• Participates in task groups, special assignments, staff and full team meetings and opportunities that further the Companies mission, vision, strategic initiatives, and best business practices.
• Represents the Company in a professional manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Qualifications and Competencies:
• Knowledge of Indigenous communities, businesses and the benefits of inclusion and engagement
• Experience in promotional sales including demonstrated skills in identifying potential customer needs and interests leading to successful up-sales, renewals, etc.
• Familiarity with member and payment information, including knowledge of privacy and protection requirements of such information.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, employers, staff and volunteers; excellent communication skills.
• Experience and sensitivity in dealing with members of different cultural and racial backgrounds, including visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity.
• Experience/knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office programs.
