Overview of responsibilities :

The Sweatlodge Technologies platform , www.itstimeforchange.ca is a local, regional and national platform promoting and advocating for Indigenous economic inclusion and engagement. The Economic Ambassador responsibilities include community engagement and the recruitment and the development of the ITFC membership base. Based in several locations across Canada and covering all northern communities the Economic Ambassador will advocate for and promote economic partnerships.

Qualifications :

Successful candidates will have a combination of analytical, foundational, interpersonal and technical skills. Knowledge of the recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and specifically recommendation #92 .
Candidates should have an understanding of their communities business endeavors, the local economy and a desire to enhance the participation of Indigenous people and their businesses within it.

Knowledge requirements :

Experience working with Indigenous communities, groups or stakeholders to resolve land use conflicts;
Experience in project management including research, policy, and program development Experience leading, or participating in, facilitations and conflict resolution with First Nations communities or stakeholders, and government
Experience dealing with a wide range of resource users such as government, industry, special interest groups, and the public or in the oil and gas industry as it relates to First Nations issues.

We are looking for individuals who have a specific expertise within a specific area that can help build partnerships and bridges to economic growth and prosperity.
