About Community

Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation is located 20 kilometres from the United States border, and 104 kilometres south of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Roseau River 2A, the main reserve, is at the junction of the Red and Roseau Rivers, with another portion, Roseau River 2A (Roseau Rapids), located on the escarpment 20 miles east of the main reserve. As of April 2018, the total registered population of Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation was 2,741 of which those residing on the reserve total 1,207 persons. The community language is Ojibway.
